Open Source Showcase for Non-Profits

Toronto Open Source Week

The Open Source Showcase for Non-Profits is happening in Toronto on October 26, 2009.

The showcase is a low-cost event where members of the non-profit sector can learn about open source projects relevant to their work, from people who create and support these projects.

Experts will be on hand from many different kinds of open source projects, everything from content management systems for powering websites, to customizable databases, to entire constituent relationship management systems for looking after fundraising, membership and events. There are also office suites, web browsers, operating systems, and more.

See the program schedule here for more details.

This is a chance to get a non-profit-focused perspective on how organizations can benefit from these high quality, freely available tools.
