ArtsVote: Building Effective Election Campaigns

Jini Stolk was joined by fellow panellists at the ONN Conference earlier this month for a lively discussion of effective campaigns. Her topic was ArtsVote, the advocacy campaign that helps elect “arts-friendly” city councillors and mayors. Sue Edworthy, ArtsVote’s intrepid social media queen, has taken the ArtsVote Facebook page from zero to over 1,200 members in only a few weeks. Her e-blasts are an example of social networking at its best and set a good example for anyone interested in collaborating to elect sector-friendly representatives.
