ONN's cross-sectoral constellation involving the arts, recreation, sport, social services, and more, have been working hard this past year to assess the impact that HST will have on the sector and communicating that information to the field. We have been working closely with staff in the Ontario Ministries of Revenue and Finance and we recently wrote them about a few issues we feel need to be addressed. Below is the letter we sent, our HST Brief No.2 to the sector, as well as a recent HST Tax Tip Sheet the government has published. CRA has also published an HST FAQ which is relevant and helpful for nonprofits and charities and can be found at: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pub/gi/notice253/notice253-e.pdf
