On Jan. 13th, ONN hosted the first meeting of the Nonprofits & Technology Constellation. Eleven people expressed interest in participating and six people were available that day. Two people joined us by phone – Sean Moore from Ottawa and David Billson, a Pillar Nonprofit Network board member from London. The group is working on the agenda for a second, much larger meeting to flush out exactly what kind of role/task such a group could play.

The ONN is pleased to welcom Sashy Keshan, the ED of Reena, to its advisory council.

In partnership with the ONN, Peter Elson has produced another report regarding different policy dimensions related to social enterprises in Ontario and Quebec.  His report provides a summary of the consultation papers between the government and nonprofit sector in each province, as well as the response from the non profit sector to the proposed legislation.  Check him out at: http://research.mtroyal.ca/research.php?action=view&type=researchers&rid=1604
