Interested in learning about how Bill 65 is affecting our sector and what changes are in store for us?  ONN invites you to join us on Wednesday, September 8th to learn more about Ontario's Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, the work being done, and our next steps.

Your support so far has been crucial to ONN's presentation of the sector's position on this act, and your continued input is important.  We presented your submissions to the new Minister of Consumer Services and are continuing conversation with the Standing Committee on Social Policy.  We have stressed the urgency of our proposed amendments to the health of our organizations and the communities we serve.  Join us in this teleconference so we can bring you up-to-speed on feedback we've received, the progress we've made, and our steps forward from here.

Update on Bill 65: Read & Submit your comments to the Government!

Bill 65, An Act to revise the law in respect of Not-for-Profit Corporations, will apply to all charities and nonprofits that are incorporated under the Province of Ontario and most Ontario organizations are provincially incorporated. This is important legislation that impacts you!

Does your nonprofit organization care about:

• Calling your organization a public benefit corporation so the public can easily know your intent is to provide for the public good?

• Limiting the liability of your volunteer Directors?
